Our story
Much like your kitchen is the heart of your home, The Pantry on Egmont has been the heart of the community since it opened in 2010. Situated on the railway line in the leafy suburb of Hawthorn, we are all about creating fresh, delicious food for the people who loyally support us.
Whether it’s a takeaway coffee, fresh juice on the run, brunch with friends or one of our exclusive After Dark events, Silas and The Pantry team always have your experience, their community and the environment in mind.
Our space
The Pantry is the perfect space for you to pull up a chair and enjoy yourself. We’ll take care of you as we would an old friend who has come to visit.
Our café is small and cosy, so we do not accept bookings; our tables turn over quickly and our guests rarely wait long to sit down.
All our food is made in-house with love. We are passionate about cooking quality meals and treats for your enjoyment, and we have wifi if you need to log on during your visit with us.
Open everyday for breakfast and lunch, we also make delicious takeaways, hold After Dark events, host private functions, and will cater special events at your home.

Freshly baked, with beautifully different flavours every week, our muffins are also available for catering pre-order by the dozen.

In all their sticky, cinnamon-laden glory our scrolls fill the café with the most wonderful freshly baked aroma every week. Get in quick for these boys!

Made every Wednesday, but sometimes we make them on other days too, with vegan options! Available for pre-order by the dozen for catering.
